Universal Search is the fastest way to move through Rask. Use it to jump to pages, investments, content, and tools in seconds.

  • Keyboard: Press ⌘ + K (macOS) or Ctrl + K (Windows/Linux) from anywhere in the app.
  • Click: Select the search bar in the top navigation.

What you can search for

Universal search indexes everything across the platform:

  • Pages: Jump directly to the Dashboard, Watchlist, Portfolio, or Settings.
  • Investments: Search for stocks and ETFs by ticker (e.g., “CBA”, “VAS”) or company name.
  • Content: Find the latest articles, research notes, and podcast episodes (many episodes include transcripts and key points on the episode page).
  • Courses: Search for education modules and specific lessons.

Ticker Search & Shortcuts

If you know the ticker of an investment, universal search is optimised to get you there fast:

  1. Open search (⌘K).
  2. Type the ticker (e.g., NET).
  3. If the query looks like a ticker, Investments will be prioritised at the top of the list.
  4. Press Enter to jump directly to the first result.

Exchange Preference

If a ticker exists on multiple exchanges (for example, a ticker that exists on both the ASX and US markets), Rask will prefer the ASX listing by default when you press Enter. You can always use the arrow keys to select a different exchange from the list.

Recent Activity

When you first open the search bar, you’ll see a curated list of “Recent” items you’ve visited, along with “This week’s” trending content and popular investments to help you stay updated.
