Where are my files stored?
Your documents are stored in secure, encrypted cloud storage. We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) to protect your files “at rest” on our servers.
Who can see my documents?
Access to your vault is strictly controlled:
- You: Have full access to view, download, and manage all your documents.
- Your Adviser: Can view and download documents to help prepare your financial plan.
- Rask Staff: Only authorised support staff can access files, and only when necessary to resolve a technical issue. Every access event is logged in our audit trail.
Secure Transmission
When you upload or download a file, it travels over a secure, encrypted connection (TLS). This is the same technology used by major banks and government agencies to protect data in transit.
Document Integrity
Once a document is uploaded, it cannot be edited. If you need to update a file, you should upload the new version. This ensures that the “paper trail” for your financial advice remains accurate and compliant.
Tips for extra security
- Sensitive Data: If you are sharing something extremely sensitive, ensure you are using a private internet connection (avoid public Wi-Fi).
- Sign Out: Always sign out of the Rask app when you are finished, especially if you are on a shared computer.
