The Persona page brings a set of real-world-style financial plan examples into the app so you can explore different money situations and the kinds of strategies that may be considered for them.

What Personas are

Personas are simplified case studies. Each one follows a household or individual with a different life stage, cashflow pattern, goal set, and set of concerns.

They are designed to help you:

  • see how financial planning ideas can connect together
  • compare different trade-offs across cashflow, debt, investing, super, insurance, retirement, and estate planning
  • learn from a complete example rather than a single isolated tactic

What Personas are not

Personas are not personal financial advice for your own situation.

Even if a persona feels very close to your circumstances, the numbers, structures, product choices, and recommendations should be treated as educational examples only.

How to use them well

  1. Start with the persona that feels closest to your current stage of life.
  2. Read the overview and snapshot first so you understand the broader context.
  3. Work through the strategy sections in order.
  4. Focus on the logic behind each recommendation, not just the recommendation itself.
  5. Bring the relevant questions into your own planning conversations with the Rask team or your adviser.
