Use Document Vault to keep important files organised, secure, and easy to find when you need them.

Access requirement

Document vault access requires:

  • a verified sign-in email, and
  • MFA enabled

If either check is missing, the app shows a clear security prompt and takes you to Security settings to complete setup.

You may briefly see a secure loading message while Rask verifies access and prepares your vault list. This is expected for sensitive pages, especially with larger vaults.

What the document vault is (and why it matters)

Think of the document vault as your personal “financial filing cabinet” inside Rask. Keeping it tidy helps you (and your adviser, if you have one) move faster — whether you’re completing forms, preparing advice, or just trying to stay organised.

Where to find it

Open Documents (sometimes shown as Document vault) from the main navigation.

What to store in your vault

Most people store things like:

  • Tax: notices of assessment, PAYG summaries, tax returns
  • Banking: loan statements, credit card statements
  • Super & investments: account statements, confirmations, reports
  • Insurance: policies, renewals, claim documents
  • Property: contracts, council rates, mortgage paperwork

How to keep it organised (the simple system)

  1. Put things in the right folder (don’t overthink it — consistent is better than perfect).
  2. Name files clearly so you can find them later (e.g. 2025-11 ANZ Mortgage Statement.pdf).
  3. Upload as you go — small, regular updates beat a once-a-year clean-up.

Sharing and privacy (what you should know)

  • Your documents are stored securely inside Rask.
  • If you’re working with an adviser through Rask, some documents may be visible to them (so they can help you) depending on your setup and the folder.
  • Household sharing for Forms + Vision Board does not automatically share your Document Vault.
  • Document sharing is controlled separately and may be unavailable depending on your workspace settings.
  • Even after a household invite is accepted, Vault access stays default-deny unless your environment explicitly enables document sharing.

Common gotchas

  • Can’t find a file later: check you uploaded it to the right folder, then use search.
  • Uploading duplicates: if you upload the same document twice, keep the newer version and delete the older one (or rename it clearly).
