So you’re seeing a BETA label in the app? That’s intentional. We’re rolling out new features and improvements every day, and this guide explains what that means for you right now.

What does ‘beta’ mean?

Beta means the app is live and usable, but still being actively built and tuned.

In practical terms:

  • Features, tools, screens, and workflows may change without notice.
  • Performance and availability can vary while we ship updates.
  • Data may not always persist. Before full launch, we may reset parts of the database.

If you’re relying on something important, keep your own copies and records as a backup.

Is the app secure?

We run a security-first setup across infrastructure, access controls, and monitoring. That said, beta is still beta, so keep your own security hygiene high.

What Rask does

  • Encrypts data in transit and at rest.
  • Uses role-based access controls and audit logging.
  • Applies layered perimeter controls, including WAF and rate limiting.

What you should do

  • Turn on multi-factor authentication: MFA setup guide.
  • Use a unique password you don’t reuse anywhere else.
  • Don’t upload or share highly sensitive personal information until we confirm beta data policies are final for launch.

Our legal documents remain in force, and we are updating them during March 2026.

How we may use personal information

In line with the Australian Privacy Principles, we may collect and use personal information to:

  • Provide and improve app features and services.
  • Verify identity, secure accounts, and prevent misuse.
  • Support customer service, legal, and compliance obligations.
  • Communicate important product, policy, or account updates.

We aim to collect only what’s reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Your use during beta: at your own risk

Using the app in beta means you accept that privacy, security controls, and data handling are still evolving ahead of full launch. Please use discretion with what you store, and avoid sharing anything you’re not comfortable being part of an active beta environment.
