The Vision Board is a flexible planning workspace for ideas, milestones, and life goals.

How Vision Boards work

  • A Board contains multiple Groups.
  • Each Card holds title, category, target date, amount, priority, and a private page body.
  • Cards can include updates, images, and custom properties.
  • Use the top control row to switch boards, switch Board/List view, and filter cards by tag.
  • Use the ... menu in that row for board actions (including Share, duplicate, rename, archive, and tag management).
  • Group titles are edited inline: click a group title to rename it directly.
  • Group delete is available via the trash icon in the group header (when more than one group exists).

Creating cards

  • Click Add card inside a group (or from list view).
  • Rask creates a draft card immediately and opens the card editor.
  • If you close an empty draft, you’ll be asked whether to delete it.

Card editor

  • New cards open to Overview by default.
  • Use Overview to write freeform page content and context.
  • Card titles are edited inline at the top of the card.
  • Card body content is private by default.
  • Use Make this a financial goal (near card colour) to enable the Goals tab.
  • Use the Goals tab to edit planning fields (category, amount, target month/year, priority, include toggle).
  • Use the Share tab to add a shared summary visible to collaborators/advisers.
  • Use Tags in the card header to add/remove board tags on each card.
  • In Edit tags, additions save immediately (click Add or press Enter) and show confirmation toasts.
  • In the image modal, upload an image file (click or drag-and-drop). Vision stores images privately and serves them with secure short-lived links.

Board editing vs plan publishing

  • Editing a board saves board content only.
  • Your financial planning goals are updated only when you click Publish to plan.

This keeps exploratory board work separate from planning records.

Publish to plan workflow

  1. Open a board.
  2. Turn on Make this a financial goal for cards you want included in planning and complete the Goals tab fields.
  3. Click Publish to plan in the Vision header.
  4. Check /goals to review the updated planning goal summary.

Sharing and permissions

  • Board sharing is board-specific.
  • Users with edit access can update board content.
  • Publishing to plan requires both Vision Board edit access and Forms edit access.

Vision supports direct card links:

  • /goals/vision?boardId=<boardId>&cardId=<cardId>
  • /goals/vision/<boardId>/<cardId>

You can also open a card as a dedicated full-page editor from inside the card drawer.

Board tag management

  • Open board actions (...) and choose Manage tags.
  • Add, rename, or delete board tag options.
  • Renaming/removing a tag updates existing card tags in that board.

Legacy links using selected=<goalId> still open the matching card when possible.
