So you want to send a message to your adviser or find an older conversation? The Messaging dashboard is your secure hub for all communication within the Rask app.

Why use in-app messaging?

Unlike email, Rask messaging is encrypted and private. It’s the safest way to discuss sensitive financial details and share documents directly with your advice team.

How to send a message

  1. Go to Messaging.
  2. Select your adviser or the relevant support thread from the sidebar.
  3. Type your message in the text box at the bottom.
  4. (Optional) Click the paperclip icon to attach a document from your vault.
  5. Press Send.

Managing your conversations

  • Unread messages: Look for the blue dot next to a conversation or the notification badge in the main navigation.
  • Search: Use the search bar at the top of the messaging list to find specific topics or past advice.
  • Staff triage filters: Team members can switch between Clients / Team / All, then use Assigned / Unassigned / All for client-file triage.
  • Staff compose switch: In New Message, staff can choose Clients to message a client file or Team to message another staff member.
  • Staff quick FAQ: Staff users can open Inbox help in Messaging for fast guidance on scope usage, unread behavior, and notifications.

Tips for better advice

  • Be specific: Instead of “I have a question about my super,” try “I’m looking at my QSuper balance and noticed the insurance fee changed.”
  • Vault first: If you’re discussing a statement, upload it to the Document vault first, then mention it in your message.
